Saint Julie (Julia) was born to a peasant family. At the age of fourteen, she took a vow of chastity and began educating the deprived. She founded the Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame, which was set up to teach Christian education to girls. She is a patroness against poverty. Feast day is April 8.
