It took a Catholic priest and a chemist to invent SELF-LITE Charcoal Briquettes. As childhood friends who served as altar boys, they saw the need for an easy to light, convenience and economical briquette that stays lit.
They're easy to light - just a light touch of flame or when struck with a safety match to the surface and they are ready immediately.
They have a burn time of 30 minutes, in any conditions with a consistent, recognizable burn.
No waste, a unique "star saucer" design shape in top of each briquette holds the 3 spoons of incense required by Church Rubrics so that every grain of incense is completely burned, fulfilling the Church guideline.
As a reliable heat source, the briquette will remain lit in drafty churches or when exposed to a breeze.
Each box contains 5 sealed trays of 20ct, 1-3/4 inch size briquettes.
