The Red Scapular of Passion came about from visions received by Sister Louise Apolline. The scapular is directly related to the Passion of Christ which is why the scapular features red. One end of the scapular has the image of the crucifixion along with instruments of the passion and the words "Holy Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ save us". The other end has a small crucifix with the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Miraculous Heart of Mary. You also find the words "Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary protect us".
It is said that those who wear this red scapular receive a pledge of pardon from Jesus and that it is a source of grace. It is considered to be one of the most sacred of the different colored scapulars available.
Includes instructions for how to wear and use the scapular.
The red Passion scapular could be worn and used as a meditation during the season of Lent especially for parishioners or young people in High School or College religious education studies.
