This 3-1/2 inch long crucifix is NOT blessed, but should be by you local priest before it can truely be called a "Happy Death Cross (or Crucifix)".

The ebony black inset cross is bound on its edges with silver, Nickel and finished with a silver oxidized Body of Christ and INRI sign. This is a popular crucifix for Sick Call sets, Family Rosaries or as a crucifix for Religious Orders.

The Cross for a happy death must be blessed by Priest who has the power for this purpose. ... If prevented from doing this must at least repent of his sin and calls the Holy Name of Jesus with devotion and accepts death with resignation from the Hand of God as atonement for his sins.
It reminds those who are close to death to meditate (as much as possible) on the Last Four Things.
