St. Joan of Arc known as "The Maid of Orleans" who was appointed by Saints Margaret of Antioch, Michael the Archangel, and Catherine of Alexandria among other "holy helpers" to find the true king of France and defend France. She led an army to against the invading English army and won the battle of Orleans. Later captured, the new King Charles made no move to rescue her from the English that held her. She was burned at the stake after being accused of witchcraft.
She is the patron of France and soldiers.
Her feast day is May 30.

Round sterling silver medal measures 16 cm, ( approx. 1/2 of an inch), in diameter.
