Saint Genevieve took the veil from Saint Germanus of Auxerre at fifteen years old. She prophesized tragedies for Paris, making her unpopular among the citizens. She redeemed herself, in their eyes, by feeding the starved and encouraging the defense of France when the Franks invaded the country. She is patron of disasters and Women Army Corps. Feast day is January 3.
