explained by Rev. Bennet Kelley, C.P
Some things never lose their value... Such as dogma and doctrine of the Faith. This is reflected in the Baltimore Catechism.
While "outdated" in the sense that this book was compiled before Vatican II, the Baltimore Catechism still entirely relevant for Catholics today. The book is assembled as a series of questions and answers to a number of matters as it pertains to the faith of Catholic Christians.
This is the first volume, which is targeted to children from 3rd to 5th grade, but adults will find it an enjoyable read. The answers are simple and straightforward, and is a trip down memory lane for some and a wonderful resource for others, (catechists for adults and children should consider using these questions for discussion opportunities.)
This Catechism retains the text of the Revised Baltimore Catechism, Number 1, but adds abundant explanations to help children understand the difficult parts of each lesson along with pictures to aid in understanding.
Intended for grades 3-5
