This processional Byzantine style crucifix, based on the art of Cimabue, features a 16 inch hand carved and painted linden wood corpus is on a 25 inch gilded cross.
Imported from the Italy.
It includes 6.4 foot processional pole and matching solid wood stand.
This crucifix is carved after the original painting of Cimabue (1240-1302). The original is in the Basilica Santa Croce - Firenze. At the end of the two arms of the cross the Madonna (image left) and St. John (image right) are represented. Carved in wood with a gold leaf finish. This processional cross comes with base.
